Rob's Record of Fighting for You
As your State Representative for District 43, I believe my most important responsibility is to be your representative—to listen to your concerns, carry your voice to the State Capitol, and fight for legislation that reflects the values and priorities of the people I serve.
I will continue to work hard every day to protect our conservative values, strengthen our communities, and ensure that District 43 remains a great place to live, work, raise a family, and build a future. My door will always be open, and I will never stop fighting for you.
Please review some of our accomplishments below.

ROB'S RECORD OF FIGHTING FOR YOU

As your state representative, I have worked hard for and supported legislation that focuses on a better education for our children, lowering taxes on our hard working Mississippians, ensuring our families have the rights and necessary means to defend themselves, and working to ensure the good people of District 43 are well represented.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Passed the “Build Up Mississippi Act” which enacted the largest tax cut in Mississippi’s history

  • Cut the Grocery Tax in half

  • Implemented a better education formula that is more of a student funded model than a system funded model

  • Passed a teacher pay raise bill which gave teachers their first pay raise since 2008

  • Established a sales tax exemption on firearms during what is now called the “Second Amendment Weekend”

  • Lowered the price of firearms permits and renewals

  • Exempted disabled veterans and active duty members of the Armed Forces from paying for permits

  • Authorized the concealed carry of firearms without permits in purses, bags, or fully enclosed cases.

  • Exempted Armed Forces members and veterans from taking the enhanced carry classes if they completed military combat training for handguns.

  • Banned abortions at or after the 15-week mark

  • Banned biological born males from playing women’s sports.

  • Increased the death benefits for firefighters, police officers, and other emergency personnel from $65,000 to $100,000 if they are killed in the line of duty. This $35,000 increase will help their families as they deal with the loss of their loved one and a relied upon income.
